Before I start, I know that on my last blog it was titled "Last Post," but apparently I need one more blog. So this is my last blog, for real this time..but I titled this blog "Wet Dream," because my partner and I were hoping to be able to have our event up and running by Friday, which is tomorrow.
Now, because of the rain we have to re-think our idea/event. I am hoping we will get a chance to have the event soon. I know that some people would have an event whether it's raining or snowing, but our event demanded for everyone to be dry and in a peaceful setting. So we are thinking now that we might have everyone meet us on Skype or Facebook and will explain to them what our plans are, and what we want to do in the future. We want to encourage them to go out and touch one teen/child a day or a week by talking to them about Christ if they are willing to listen. We hope that we can get enough people who will want to do that and who will have as much passion as we do about the Youth.
I know that is going to be hard trying to keep up with everyone who participates in this event, but then again we could have them to e-mail us at Faithinouryouth@aim.com to let us know if they have talked to a teen/child or not. They can also provide us with some feedback of how it went for them. I think this could be a better idea in a sense because everyone can get involved to help change a young adolescence mind or heart about a situation. They could even gain a friend out of this or a mentor. I actually think this idea would be beneficial for us. because we can see how this event would work verses what we had planned at first. I know that we have to have a physical event planned in order to know the turnout, but sometimes people respond to virtual events quicker than physical events.
If this works then, I think it will be a great start for our campaign and it will help us to get the word out to more people. I think we can start this event over the weekend and see who all participates and how successful we are doing so. I think we all could reach a lot of the youth by doing this event. It could make a difference to whether we safe one persons' life or more. I think that is the bigger picture here, reaching the minds and hearts of the youth by being a good steward to them. Then by showing Christ's love to them no matter how they respond.
This event is something that excites me, because I think this could be a big event. I am excited to see what God is going to do in our lives and in the lives of they youth. By making a difference in the their lives we have hit a major goal, even if it's just a few lives it still counts. If anyone is reading this I hope you will join us in this event to help the youth, just go out there and spread Gods' word to them and let's encourage them to be all that God wants them to be. Encourage them to do their best and beyond their best, to always push themselves and to stay away from negative influences. They have to be strong and work to succeed in life and to not be happy with getting by.
Most importantly they need to be shown plenty of love, support, attention and Christ's obedience. They also need to understand that education is the key to success. I hope we this event will be a success and will continue on to many years of helping the youth. We will see how it all goes very soon.
